Jake Gyllenhaal Has Serious Love For Tom Holland After Spider-Man: Far From Home
When Jake Gyllenhaal first joined Spider-Man: Far From Home as Mysterio, fans were expecting an exciting rivalry between the iconic hero and villain. Now that its been said that Spidey will actually be working with Mysterio against the Elementals in the Europe-set sequel, the dynamic between the two could be something of a friendship. Gyllenhaal certainly has nothing but kind words to say about Tom Holland. Heres what he said:

Jokes aside, it's great how well the two talented actors seem to be getting along, and I cant wait to fully see their dynamic in Far From Home. Gyllenhaals version of Quentin Beck will be hired by Nick Fury to team-up with Spidey while hes on a class trip to Europe with MJ, Ned, Betty, Flash and the gang.
Far From Home will mark the actors first time in a comic book adaptation after primarily starring in dramatic films such as Nightcrawler, Brokeback Mountain and Donnie Darko. Gyllenhaal said he decided to join the MCU because it was a character-driven opportunity he was excited to be a part of.
Mysterio has long been a fan-favorite in the Spider-Man comics. The character is infamously a special effects expert and stuntman who works on movies, but decides to use his skills to commit crimes. With the films initial switch-up to the characters origin, fans could be in for some exciting surprises about the characters development.
During the actors recent interview with Jimmy Fallon, they talked about how he recently joined Instagram, just in time for his highest-profile role yet. His first-ever post was a witty confirmation of his long rumored role of Mysterio of him looking into a Spider-Man comic, surprised that he wouldnt be playing Spider-Man.
While the actor would certainly be able to pull off playing Spidey because he pulls off just about every other character we cant wait to see him in the potentially villainous role and cant imagine anyone else sliding up walls and thwipping his way through Brooklyn.
Tom Hollands Peter Parker is supposedly dust as of now given how Avengers: Infinity War ended. The actor is set to return for Avengers: Endgame coming to theaters on April 26 before sharing the screen with Jake Gyllenhaal in Spider-Man: Far From Home on July 5.
